FAQs

Q.  What’s repairable damage?
Stone breaks up to the size of a fifty-cent piece and cracks up to 18 inches long that started cracking within the past month are usually repairable.  The sooner you spot and fix the damage the better. The repair will be clearer because over time the chips accumulate dirt .

Q. How is it FREE & Why do insurance companies pay for windshield repair?
Windshields have become very expensive in the last few years and break more easily because they are thinner.  Insurance companies are realizing a substantial savings on their glass replacement costs by using repairs as an alternative to replacement.  To promote this benefit they are willing to pay the total cost of repairs.

Q. What is the purpose of repair?
The purpose of repair is to stabilize the damage, keep it from spreading, and restore the structural integrity of the glass.

Q. How long does a windshield repair take?
Usually 10-15 minutes per chip, and 15-20 minutes for long crack repair.

Q. Will I still be able to see the damage after it is repaired?
Most stone breaks clear up 70% -95%, leaving a spot where the resin was injected.  From inside the vehicle there is a hint of where the original damage was.  Cracks can be more noticeable depending on the age of the crack and how much dirt has accumulated in the crack before the repair is done.  Most repaired cracks look like a strand of hair dead on, from an angle, it is usually only slightly noticeable.  Most of the glare from the sun reflecting on the crack is gone once repaired.

Q. How can you repair cracks up to 18 inches, my agent said cracks over dollar bill size are not usually deemed repairable.
We use a patented two head injection system to repair long cracks. Long cracks can be repaired successfully and the repairs are safe.  Long crack repair done correctly passes all government safety tests.

Q.  Why don’t other glass shops offer this long crack repair system?
Unfortunately, most glass shops are interested in selling new windshields and not saving the existing windshield.  We are a repair first, replace only when necessary shop.  We care about saving you money.

Q.  What is your warranty on repairs?
Windshield repairs are lifetime warranted against spreading for as long as you own the car.  If the damage spreads beyond the repair, we will re-repair the extended damage or refund the original repair amount to whom ever paid for the repair.  In most circumstances this will be your insurance company.

Rick is the owner and knows all the insurance companies and their policies, I was not charged for a deductible, and my insurance company paid the entire bill. Rick is super awesome and he did a WONDERFUL job. I was super pleased with the service, timeliness, help through the insurance process, and friendly conversation! My truck’s windshield looks practically good as new. He offered additional help if it started cracking again after repair, but that wasn’t necessary since it was done so well. I would send anyone here to see Rick, knowing they would get a kick ass experience. Thanks again! I loved your dogs!

Great service, and great work. I had my windshield repaired by Rick (the owner) yesterday. The work was done well and with good conversation. He stayed over and hour after they closed because I had 4 cracks. Would highly recommend and will absolutely be coming back!

I brought in my car because of a quarter-sized chip. Rick made the process of getting this chip fixed easy, and while he was working he noticed a smaller chip, which he fixed for free. He also noticed an old chip repair job that was done by another shop, and showed me how this repair was failing. He did his best to fix the other shop's mistakes, also for free. He is a great guy who cares about his work and does an excellent job with windshields. He will work with you and treat your car as if it is his own. Definitely give him your service!

This was one of the best auto-repair related experiences I have ever had. It was so quick and easy. I had a very long crack that had quickly gone from a chip to maybe just above ~16inches in three days. I was just looking for something that would stop the spread, as my insurance would not approve a repair more than 6inches. He made the entire crack nearly invisible and did some sort of small drilling (beyond my layperson knowledge) that should stop the spread. He agreed to do one more repair if the crack does spread. He agreed to do another repair if it does spr He was very nice, incredibly affordable, and very fast. I would recommend him to anyone with chip(s) or crack(s). As an FYI, he does have a list on his website of phone numbers to call for your insurance company that will get you to its glass division to see what they pay for. Will definitely recommend others to him and return myself if I ever have another problem.
