1. Never turn the defrost on your windshield when the windshield is very cold. Warm the body of the car in advance first. This way the windshield will warm up slowly.
2. Park your vehicle under some kind of shade. This will keep the sun from heating the windshield to fast.
3. Avoid driving on bumpy roads. Gravel roads, uneven roads, AND NO SUB WOOFERS this will more likely jar your vehicle and cause the windshield to flex in ways that may cause a crack out.
4. If you have to park your vehicle outside and you know snow or freezing rain is coming. Keep a small tape on the chip and it will keep the moisture from getting into the windshield. This will keep the windshield from freezing and cracking.
